- Participants must be in grades 6- 12; or an adult.
- Teams will be made up of 6-8 players. Six players will compete on each side; additional team members will be available as substitutes. Substitutes may enter the game only during their time out or in the case of an injury.
- The object of the game is to eliminate all opposing players by getting them "OUT". This may be done by:
Catching a LIVE ball thrown by your opponent before it touches the ground. A caught ball will result in a player
from the team that caught the ball to come back into the game based on order of elimination.
- "Blocking a ball is allowed. The ball is considered dead after it is blocked, and can not be caught to get a person out.
- Game begins by placing the dodgeballs along the centerline. Players then take a position behind their end line. Following a signal by the official, teams may approach the centerline to retrieve the balls. This signal officially starts the contest.
- The first team to legally eliminate all opposing players will be declared the winner. An 8 minute time limit has been established for each contest. If neither team has been eliminated at the end of the eight minutes, the team with the greater number of players remaining will be declared the winner and in the case of a tie, one person from each team will be selected to “battle” till one person wins.
- Power ups are available for purchase at the registration table near the entrance
